 The Coalition recognises the key to Australia’s military edge is through the retention and development of its highly-skilled workforce.As Shadow Minister for Defence Science, Personal and Assisting Minster for Defence, I have no greater responsibility than working to ensure the dedicated men and women of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) receive the highest level of support while they are protecting Australia and its citizens. With that in mind, I would like to assure all ADF members that I am working hard to ensure that the government commits to supporting you throughout your career and beyond. Above all else, I am always available to help those members of the ADF, and their families, with any issues they may have while undertaking their unique service in the support of this great nation. In addition to directly supporting Australia’s troops, I am the Alternative Government’s Minister responsible for the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO), Australia’s premier defence technology research organisation. I am a strong advocate of the work undertaken by DSTO and recognise the crucial role the DSTO has in ensuring Australia’s military remain at the forefront of developments in innovation, science and technology. As Shadow Minister for Defence Science, Personal and Assisting Minster for Defence, I am committed to ensuring Australia’s Defence Forces remain well equipped and well supported.
