Residents of Oyster Cove deserve an explanation, they deserve action and they deserve a fair deal. These residents, through no fault of their own, fear their property values have been reduced dramatically thanks to the ANEF 2025 Noise Map.

I met with residents of Oyster Cove at the very first opportunity, the very first time they met as a collective on this issue. This meeting can be viewed on YouTube. Since then I have attended the Williamtown Consultative Forum where I forced an action item that Defence review the mapping and/or compensate affected residents. I have also personally represented every single resident that has approached me, but despite more than 10 letters to Minister Faulkner, I am still waiting on a response.

It is distressing that despite all efforts, two months since that first meeting we are still no closer to hearing what action Defence will take. I am now more determined than ever to get answers and I will continue to fight for a resolution which is fair for all those people affected.
