LABOR COMES UP WITH NOTHING… AGAIN

Bob Baldwin, Member for Paterson said Labor had totally ignored residents’ calls to fix roads in the Paterson electorate.

The Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Local Government, Anthony Albanese, visited the Hunter region yesterday but did not bother to commit any funding to local roads in Paterson.

“This is the second time Minister Albanese has visited our region during this election campaign, yet again he has no money for Paterson roads.

“No commitment for The Bucketts Way, no commitment for the Lakes Way, no commitment to Main Road 301, no commitment to the Fingal Bay Bypass, no funding for Dungog roads.

“This is the same Labor Government that wasted $1 billion on the BER blowout and $1 billion on a failed border protection scheme, yet has not been able to commit any real funding to roads in Paterson.

“This makes a total mockery of Mr Arneman’s assurances that he has the ear of Mr Albanese,” said Mr Baldwin.

Mr Baldwin reiterated his strong commitment to improving roads across Paterson. Under a Coalition Government, local roads would benefit from a $71 million funding boost.

“A Coalition Government will deliver better roads, which means safer roads, for the people of Paterson.

“I have always fought hard for roads funding and unlike Mr Arneman, I have delivered,” said Mr Baldwin.
