Bob Baldwin, Member for Paterson has encouraged residents to attend the upcoming Aussie Trivia Night at Soldiers Point Bowling Club, which will raise money for victims of the Queensland floods.
“If you’ve got a couple of hours spare next Tuesday night the 25th of January, please buy a ticket for just $20 and come along,” said Mr Baldwin.
“It will be a fun night with plenty of laughs and entertainment, while also helping to raise money for our Queensland neighbours who have been devastated by flooding.”
The charity event is being organised by Salamander Shopping Centre retailers and Soldiers Point Bowling Club. The event commences at 6:30pm.
Mr Baldwin has accepted an offer to emcee the event.
Tickets are available until Saturday night by calling 0435 382 300. Alternatively, residents can call Mr Baldwin’s office on 4983 1330 for more information.
“We would also like everyone who comes along to dress in their best Aussie attire, because it’s the Aussie way to help out our mates when they need it,” said Mr Baldwin.
“People from across the region have been calling me asking how they can help the flood victims – well this is it, and you can have a great time doing it, too.”
